What's new in 1.1: Stample gets social
Follow other explorers, message them directly, show off a redesigned passport, and chase a new Founder badge + a pile of reliability fixes. Here's everything in Stample 1.1.
Stample started as a solo thing: you, a map, and the places guidebooks forget. 1.1 changes that. This is our biggest update yet; the foundation for everything social.
Follow the people worth following
You can now follow other explorers, see their passports, and get a heads-up when someone follows you. Your map stops being a private notebook and starts being something you share.
- Follow & unfollow from any profile
- Followers and following lists
- A notification when someone new follows you
Chats are here
Found someone with great taste in hidden bars? Message them directly. One-to-one chat is built in, with notifications and unread badges so you never miss a reply.
Profiles, grown up
Every profile got a redesign — and a glow-up:
- Add a custom banner to your passport
- Cleaner level and XP display
- A redesigned share card so your passport looks great wherever you post it
- Prefer to stay low-key? A new private mode hides you from the leaderboards
Stickers, ranks & a Founder badge
- 16 new leaderboard stickers — from Crowned #1 to Heated Rival
- A "your rank" card so you always know where you stand, even outside the top 50
- A brand-new Founder badge for our 150 Founding Insiders, and a Pioneer badge for the first 2,000 explorers on Stample
Quietly, a lot got more solid
Behind the scenes we fixed the stuff that actually matters day to day:
- Stamps sync reliably — no more getting stuck
- Faster, smoother sign-up
- Photo uploads work the way they should
- Smarter city search (islands and small towns finally resolve correctly)
This is the Social Foundation — the groundwork for friend leaderboards, discovery, and a map that feels alive. There's a lot more coming.

New cities added every week. Thanks for exploring with us. 🌍
